(Financial) Accounting and HR Administration: 20-40 hours per week at our Cologne office

Responsibilities

Do you love juggling numbers and Excel spreadsheets while ensuring a clear overview of all company transactions? Are you also excited to apply your administrative and communication skills in the HR field? Then this might be the perfect role for you! In this newly created position, you will be a central point of contact for the entire company. But don’t worry – an experienced colleague will support you.

Your tasks in Accounting (approximately 70% of the role):

  • Ongoing accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial, and asset accounting
  • Managing dunning processes and payment transactions
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB
  • Payroll and salary bookings
  • Acting as a stand-in when needed
  • Serving as the point of contact for the management

Your tasks in HR (approximately 30% of the role):

  • Preparing, managing, and maintaining personnel documents and personnel files (both online and analog)
  • Managing the HR email inbox to process vacation requests, employee absences, and any incoming inquiries
  • Creating employment contracts based on templates
  • Updating employee-related data
  • Assisting in the pre-selection of applications

Qualifications

  • Work permit for Germany (mandatory)
  • Work location: Cologne office
  • Proficient in German and English (written and spoken)
  • A completed commercial training in (financial) accounting, familiarity with tax laws, and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Ideally, you have initial experience in HR administration – alternatively, a strong interest in HR topics
  • Familiarity with the following software: Addison, Excel, Word
  • Prior experience working in SMEs
  • Highly organized, meeting deadlines, and assertive in ensuring all relevant data and facts are submitted on time
